Good Shepherd's Altar Guild needs you! Have you never wondered who prepares
the church for services each week?
Preparations are many, including:
- Distribute weekly leaflets
- Setting of all service wares where needed
- Cleaning and polishing all brass and silver wares
- Preparation of bread and wine for communion
- Preparation of candles for the Lenten Season
- Clean candle holders and replace candles as necessary
- Refill oil and wick for acolyte candles
- Wash, mend and iron all linen
- Prepare for Funerals, Weddings, Baptisms and Holiday Services
- Order special flowers when needed
- Weekly flowers for all services
- Display manger scene for Christmas Holiday Service
- Display Advent candles during Christmas
Along with the work of our weekly volunteers, Julia Evangelista, Cora Brown,
Naomi Crivello, Glenda Esteban, Louise Aloy (floral design), Daryl Kaluakini
(floral design), and the seemingly boundless dedication of Altar Guild Director
Nui Kwock, the Good Shepherd Altar Guild needs your help. An hour
hour or two per week is what it takes; and the joy is boundless.
